The Wholesale Electricity Market Rules require a six-monthly report that summarises:
- proceedings that have been brought before the Electricity Review Board
- findings of the Electricity Review Board on matters referred to them
- orders made by the Electricity Review Board
- civil penalties imposed by the ERA under clause 2.13.16(a) of the Market Rules, where the Electricity Review Board has not set these aside.
From September 2017, the ERA adopted a revised structure for the report, which combined its reporting obligations under the Market Rules and the Gas Services Information Rules into one report.
Reports from September 2017 onward also contain updates on compliance activities for the relevant reporting period, in addition to the Electricity Review Board matters referred to above. This includes alleged breaches reported to the ERA, outcomes of breach investigations and results of the ERA’s compliance processes.
The reports are set out below.
