On 21 December 2018, Goldfields Gas Transmission Pty Ltd submitted a proposed revised access arrangement for the Goldfields Gas Pipeline (GGP). The access arrangement period is due to commence 1 January 2020 and finish 31 December 2024. This will be the fourth access arrangement period (AA4).
The GGP is a 1,378 kilometre transmission pipeline that receives natural gas from offshore fields in the north west of Western Australia. The GGP begins in Yarraloola, and extends to Kalgoorlie in the Goldfields-Esperance region. The 47 kilometre Newman lateral is also part of the GGP.
On 1 March 2019, the ERA published an issues paper to assist interested parties in preparing submissions on the proposed revised access arrangement. The issues paper is not intended to be an exhaustive review of the proposed revised access arrangement or the matters that the ERA will address when making its draft decision on whether to approve or not approve the proposal. Interested parties are invited to make submissions on any aspect of GGT’s proposal and on the operation of the GGP access arrangement more generally during the current access arrangement period.
Submissions will close 4:00 pm (WST) Wednesday, 27 March 2019.
