Dispatch Support Services

Until 2014, the ERA approved the costs relating to a Deed of Undertaking between System Management and Verve Energy for Dispatch Support Services. The approval was granted on the basis that:

  • The Dispatch Support Service would achieve the lowest practicably sustainable cost of delivering the service as required by the Market Rules.
  • Public consultation was not warranted as an associated Rule Change process administered by the Independent Market Operator canvassed the relevant issues.

This deed was made redundant with the introduction of the Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation regulatory scheme and the merger of Verve and Synergy on 1 January 2014.
