APA Transmission (Roy Hill) holds an electricity integrated regional licence and is authorised to generate, transmit, distribute and supply electricity from the Newman Power Station, which has a reported capacity of 238 megawatts, to the Roy Hill mine site in the Pilbara region.
Alinta Energy Transmission (Roy Hill) was originally granted the licence and it was transferred to APA Transmission (Roy Hill) on 14 June 2024.
