APA Transmission (Chichester) holds an electricity integrated regional licence and is authorised to build, own and operate an electricity transmission line connecting the Roy Hill mine to Fortescue Metals Group’s iron ore mines at Christmas Creek and Cloudbreak in the Pilbara region and a distribution system interconnection between the proposed and existing substations at Christmas Creek.
Alinta Energy Transmission (Chichester) was originally granted the licence and it was transferred to APA Transmission (Chichester) on 14 June 2024.
