APA DEWAP holds an electricity integrated regional licence and is authorised to generate, transmit and supply electricity to large use business customers in Port Hedland in the Pilbara region. APA's Port Hedland power station which has a reported capacity of 210 megawatts is connected to Horizon Power’s Pilbara Network by APA's transmission system.
Alinta DEWAP was originally granted the licence and it was transferred to APA DEWAP on 14 June 2024.
