On 30 June 1999 AlintaGas submitted an access arrangement for the Mid-West and South-West Gas Distribution Systems to the Independent Gas Pipelines Access Regulator for approval. The Regulator released a draft decision on 14 March 2000 that did not approve the proposed access arrangement.
After consulting on the draft decision, the Regulator issued its final decision on 30 June 2000 to not approve the access arrangement as proposed by AlintaGas. The final decision required AlintaGas to resubmit the access arrangement incorporating the amendments specified in the decision.
On 13 July 2000 AlintaGas submitted a revised access arrangement and access arrangement information. The Regulator was satisfied that the revised access arrangement incorporated the amendments specified in the final decision; and issued its final approval of the access arrangement on 18 July 2000.
