The power station consists of two dual fuel open cycle turbines with a reported capacity of 310 megawatts and supplies electricity through Western Power's distribution network to Synergy under a power purchase agreement.
The licence was granted under the name of Transfield Services Kemerton Pty Limited and was changed to RATCH-Australia Kemerton Pty Ltd on 26 September 2012.
