ATCO holds a gas distribution licence and is the owner operator of Western Australia’s largest gas distribution network. Over 800,000 residential and business customers are supplied with gas through more than 14,500 kilometres of network.
ATCO operates three major gas distribution systems: The Mid-West and South-West Systems (including Geraldton, Bunbury, Busselton and the Perth greater metropolitan area), the Kalgoorlie System (Kalgoorlie-Boulder area) and the Albany System (LPG network in Albany).
Alinta was originally granted the licence (combining the three licences it previously held - GDL1, GDL2 & GDL3). GDL8 was transferred to ATCO on 27 August 2011.
ATCO reports annually on the performance indicators set by the ERA. The data is available on our WA energy distributor dashboard.
