Alinta holds a gas trading licence and is authorised to sell gas to residential and small use business customers in the Coastal, Goldfields-Esperance and Great Southern supply areas, including the Perth metropolitan area. Alinta is the largest gas retailer operating in Western Australia.
GTL9 combined the three licences Alinta previously held - GTL1, GTL2 & GTL3.
