Water Corporation is a Western Australian State Government owned corporation and provides potable water, non-potable water, sewerage and drainage services to residential customers and businesses, including rural communities across Western Australia. Water Corporation also provides the bulk of water to farms for irrigation.

Water Corporation provides annual performance data for its 42 largest schemes to the Bureau of Meteorology for publication in the National Performance Report – Urban Water Utilities.

Up until 2024, Water Corporation’s performance reporting was split between the Bureau of Meteorology and the ERA:

• performance data for its eight largest schemes was reported to the Bureau of Meteorology
• performance data for the next 34 largest schemes (referred to as “minor towns”) was reported to the ERA.
