The ERA has reviewed its Monitoring Protocol in preparation for the new market start. Several updates have been made to the Monitoring Protocol in response to the changes to the WEM rules for new Wholesale Electricity Market (WEM).
The WEM procedure is required by clause 2.15.1 of the WEM Rules consolidated companion version (22 July 2023)
The final version of the updated Monitoring Protocol is available on the ERA website with a commencement date 1 October 2023.
The ERA’s Consultation period on the Procedure Change Proposal closed on 18 July 2023. Submissions received are published below with the Procedure Change Report and the updated WEM procedure.
