Performance Reports

The Water Services Act 2012 requires the Economic Regulation Authority to report annually to the Minister for Water on the operation of the water licensing scheme and licensees’ compliance with the scheme.

The report:

• identifies opportunities for beneficial reform of the licensing scheme
• provides an overview of the ERA’s licensing activities during the year
• presents data on the ERA’s annual costs to carry out its licensing functions
• provides an overview of licensees’ compliance with the scheme during the year.

In 2018, the ERA decided to discontinue publishing the water performance report. Performance data for the 11 Western Australian water and sewerage supply schemes with over 10,000 connections is available in the National Performance Report – urban water utilities that is published by the Bureau of Meteorology.

Performance data of water and sewerage supply schemes with less than 9,999 connections and the State’s three licensed irrigators can be found elsewhere on the ERA website.
