Gas Marketing Code of Conduct

The Gas Marketing Code of Conduct regulates and controls the conduct of the holders of trading licenses and gas marketing agents, with the objective of protecting customers from undesirable marketing conduct and defining standards of conduct in the marketing of gas to customers.

The ERA is responsible for the Gas Marketing Code of Conduct and undertakes a review of the Gas Marketing Code of Conduct every two years. The ERA has appointed a statutory committee, the Gas Marketing Code Consultative Committee (GMCCC), to undertake these reviews and advise the ERA about proposed amendments.

The Gas Marketing Code of Conduct 2022 took effect on effect 1 July 2022.
