2006-07 Review of the Code of Conduct for the Supply of Electricity to Small Use Customers
The Electricity Code Consultative Committee (
ECCC ) completed a review of the
Code of Conduct for the Supply of Electricity to Small Use Customers (
Code ) in September 2007. The new Code was published in the Western Australian Government Gazette on 8 January 2008 and amended by gazettal on 26 February 2008.

The ECCC delivered its Final Review Report to the Economic Regulation Authority (
ERA ) on 30 May 2007:
The ERA announced its decision regarding the ECCC Final Review Report on 20 June 2007. The ERA agreed to all of the ECCC’s recommendations in its Final Review Report with the exception of recommendations 2, 33 and 34.

The ERA referred alternative amendments to clause 1.3 and Part 4 of the Code to the ECCC for its further advice. The ERA's proposed amendments to clause 1.3 and Part 4 related to the staggering of implementation timeframes and bill smoothing. The ERA made its final decision regarding clause 1.3 and Part 4 on 2 October 2007.

With the conclusion of the review, the new Code was gazetted and brought into effect on 8 January 2008 and was subsequently updated on 26 February 2008.
