A review of the Railways (Access) Code 2000 is undertaken periodically to advise the WA government on how effectively the Code enables the WA rail regime to meet the objectives of the Competition Principles Agreement.  The Code Review contains recommendations to the WA Government which may result in the government making changes to the Code to improve its operation.

The Code commenced in September 2001.  The ERA undertakes these reviews every five years following the first review which was undertaken in 2004.

2010 Review The second review was undertaken in 2010/11.  The Final Report was published in February 2012.

2004 Review The first review of the Code was undertaken in 2004/05. The Final Report was published in September 2005.
